New Bowl Fillers & Ornies

Hi!
For the first time in what feels like FOREVER ~ I've actually been super busy creating stuff this week!!  I've got tons of WIPs laying around ~there is salt dough all over my house! lol

Here's the new bowl fillers & ornies I have completed though.

"Flakey" bowl fillers ~$10 + shipping~

"Flakey II" bowl fillers ~$10 + shipping~

"Mittens" bowl fillers ~$10 + shipping~

snowman on star ornie ~ $2 ea or 6 for $10 + shipping

I also made the hubby a "Chevy" ornie for the Christmas tree  :O)

I'm working on some Christmas bowl fillers & ornies today.  I hope to have them done tomorrow to share with you.
I'm also trying to finish up a new punch needle I started & a Santa head.  I feel like I'm all over the place ~ while my salt dough has been cooking or paint has been drying ~ I've been sewing or punching! It feels good to be making stuff again ~ I felt like I was in a rut!

~my Santa head ~ he needs a nose & some eyes & some more grungyness~

~not sure what color to do the star in yet ~

I'm behind on my blog reading but hopefully I can catch up with everyone this weekend.  My aunt is taking Cody to a Lego event on Saturday in Cleveland (about 2 hrs from here).  He's going to be so excited!! I'm not telling him till tomorrow night because I know it'll kill him to have to wait to go! He's a major Lego fan! We're actually having a Lego birthday party for him in 2 weeks ~ his first "friends from school only" party! lol

Well I think I'm done rambling for now ~ I'm off to start supper.  Hope everyone has a wonderful evening!

Yes I'm still alive!!

Wow! I have been a bad blogger! It's been over a week since I've posted! Holy Canoli!
You'd think since I've been slacking on blogging that I was really busy or something but unfortunately that wasn't the case.  I've just have a major case of the "lazies" lately (in all aspects of my life! lol).  But I will share the few things that have been going on.

First I finished my 1st punch needle.  Now of course it's not perfect but I think it turned out pretty good.  Now I just need to turn it into a lil tuck. I can't wait to start my next one!

Last Friday Miss Carmen from Primcats came over & we had a crafty night.  We made two ghosts for her porch ~ drank a few amaretto sours & some wine ~ rearranged some of my stuff ~ and had a good time.
Here's her new ghosties

Carmen also had a sewing lesson & sewed the bodies of the ghosts all by herself! I'm happy to report she did   an amazing job & didn't even get injured!! lol

She brought me two firkins to redo for her ~ since I've been slacking I haven't started them yet, but Carmen I promise they are on this weeks "to do" list!! lol

Other than that, not a lot has been going on here.  It's been rainy the last few days so it hasn't helped my laziness.  I did attempt my first pumpkin roll for the hubby today.  I don't like pumpkin roll so I haven't tried it so we'll have to wait till he gets home later to see if it gets the seal of approval or not!! Usually Lil Raggedy Angie makes him one for Christmas but he just couldn't wait that long this year!

Well that's it for me ~ hope everyone is enjoying their week! I promise to try to be a better blogger!!

Redos, Cupboard Update & A First

Good morning!  Hope every one's Friday is going great! Mine is alright ~ nothing too exciting going on around here right now.  It's another cold & rainy day.

I thought I'd share a few things I've been working on with you.

Here are a few makeovers:

before (was a previous makeover)

I'm still trying to finish up my cabinet.  It used to have red plaid in the top door panels but I wanted to try something different so I got some muslin to put in the panels instead.  One side is pleated & one side is not.  I'm not sure I like either side.  The hubby says it's too bright.  I think I may have to keep looking for some fabric.  What do you think?

after (so far)

Does either side look ok? The unpleated one is just barely on that's why it's kinda wavy ~ it would be smooth if I leave it.  Do you think the muslin is too white?  I'm not sure what I think so any input would be appreciated. :O)  I'd love some tin punch panels but that's not in the budget!

Oh ~ I almost forgot! I started my first punch needle yesterday!!!  WAY back when,  Rhonda from Simple Thyme Prims had sent me a kit, a how to book, & a pattern to try out.  Well I finally remembered to get some thread yesterday & I think I'm going to really like doing it!  Of course I need LOTS of practice. I had only bought 2 colors because I forgot my pattern at home, so I didn't get too far.

Here's what I did ~ promise me you won't point & laugh! lol

Hope you have a good day!

Friendship Swap Goodies!!!

Boy it's going to be a good day today!! The mail lady brought me my Friendship swap package from Ronda over at http://simplthymeprims.blogspot.com/ & I am soooo AMUSED!!

Just look at all these goodies Ronda sent me!

She sent me some wool, a punch needle book, punch needle kit, punch needle pattern, some samples of the Zija health products she sells (which I'm drinking right now! It's actually pretty good! ), a couple adorable pads of paper ( I really needed these - I needed one for the fridge so maybe I won't lose my grocery list so often!), & 2 of the most adorable bugs I have ever seen!

Just look at the punch needle book ~  punch needle kit ~ & the super cute pattern she sent...I can't wait to sit down & read the book to figure out what to do! I had mentioned to Ronda that I loved her punch needle work & would love to learn how to actually do it some day & she was so sweet & sent me all the things I need to get started!

Here's where my bugs "landed"! I just LOVE them!

here's a close up of the bee
a close up of the ladybug
They are both so prim-tastic! Just look @ the antenna & wings! She puts so much detail into her work!

She also sent me an AWESOME pin keep - it's my first & I don't think I'll be able to actually put any pins in it because I love it so much! Think I'm going to leave it on the shelf in my kitchen ~it looks good there! :O)

Thank you so much Ronda for all the great gifts! I've had so much fun doing this swap ~ it was my first & thank you for being such a great swap partner & making it such a great experience!

If you haven't been by Ronda's blog ~ please stop over & see her. She makes such beautiful things.  Also her new grandbaby Karter was born @ only 27 weeks & could use all the prayers he can get.  She said he's doing great ~ that he's a tough lil guy, which is great. I hope he continues to be "tough" & grow & get to go home as soon as he can. My prayers are with Karter & all of Ronda's family.

Oh & thank you to Tricia over @ Hillcrest Home Prims for hosting the swap!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I was trying to paint my kitchen table when the mail lady arrived so I'm heading back to it! I'll hopefully have some pics of it for you in a few days!
