Happy Monday! I wanted to do a quick post of my weekend makeover project. My dad made this cabinet for me @ Christmas time in 2000 and I have always loved it! He is an excellent wood worker and I love that he makes us furniture that we want almost every year for Christmas. Now this cabinet is in my kitchen and I decided that although I still loved it - I wasn't "in love" with it anymore! So I base coated it black and then put a top coat of barn red on top. I found a new knob and painted it black too. I just love how it turned out! My father loves natural wood & despises painted wood, so I'm sure he won't be amused, but I am!

That is an awesome makeover, LOVE it:)
Thanks Carmen! I just realized I had a comment 2day! Sorry!
That turned out really cute! Good job!
First let me welcome you to blog land... it is a wonderful pastime and you meet some of the nicest people here. I am your newest follower and can't wait to see what you are up to next.
I had to chuckle at your grunging everything... that is me to a tee... once I get going nothing is sacred... hubby sounds like my BF used to be...lol
Love the after pic... great job... you did an amazing job on all your remakes... I didn't leave a comment on them, I just figured I would leave one here. Love your style and I am totally in love with your little windowed cabinet you did in black. I have one very similar hanging in the bathroom, I put all old first aid items in it... it worked perfectly for that... I might mine looks like you before... but not for long now, that I have seen yours in black... LOVE it.
Hope to see more of you around Rachel.
Have a great week.
Hugs, Deb
