HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Just wanted to stop in & say a quick "HI"!!!

It is raining here today so we won't be lounging in our pool at all ~ the poor kid won't know what to do all day!! lol

 SO I'm going to attempt to catch up on some housework & get started on my bedroom.  Thanks to you guys who left your opinion...it looks like majority agrees the wallpaper should go & the walls (paneling & all) should be the same color.  Whoo hoo! That's really what I was hoping to hear to be honest.  We'll see how I feel about it after I get started! lol 

Before I go I want to share a few pics of my flowers ~ my hydrangea is finally trying to bloom.  I have 2 plants ~ one in the front bed & one out back.  The one out back doesn't even attempt to bloom & the one up front only has gotten this 1 bloom for the 2 years I've had it. :( Not sure what it needs but I'm excited it's finally trying to bloom.

And my hollyhocks finally started to bloom too!! My sister has some too & hers have been blooming for weeks & she only lives like 15 mins away!

I just LOVE these! My grandma always had a ton of them behind her garage ~ they were always so pretty!

Kung Fu~Flowers~Redos

Hi!! I hope everyone has been enjoying their week ~ mine has been pretty good here. I took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 2 at the little community theatre here in town yesterday (it was only $8 for all 3 of us to get in!! whoo hoo!). It was really cute! If anyone has little ones & you haven't went to see this movie ~ you should! We all really liked it!

Other than that, not a whole lot of anything has been happening around here. Still being lazy & enjoying the summer vacation time with my son.  The hubby is still not smoking! Whoo hoo! It's been a week & he's done really good so far ~ I'm very proud of him! This weekend is our "kid-free" weekend again & he has asked me to go "night" fishing with him! I was shocked! He never asks me so of course I said yes!! I'm sure I'll be bored out of my mind in about an hour or two but at least he wanted me to go! :O) Makes me feel all special!! LOL

I got two redos done this week ~

the pics aren't the greatest ~ but they both are just black. I like them a lot more now ~ I almost left the long candle holder how it was but I have a lot of wood paneling in my house & it was all the SAME shade of it so it got painted

I'm going to try to work on a few more redos this weekend~ still not feeling much like painting anything. Kinda in a funk ~ I feel like a need a "change". Do you ever get like that?!? I seem to get like that at least once every 6 months or so & I don't know why. I think I've got some gypsy blood in me or something! lol Sometimes it's as simple as a new haircut to cure me ~ sometimes it's more than that, so we'll just have to wait & see. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon :O)!

my purple cone flowers are blooming too! these are my favorites! I just LOVE them!

this lil flower is entwined in with my purple cone flowers ~ I wondered where it had gone ~ my mom had given me some in the fall & I never can remember where I plant anything so I must've planted it where my purple cone flowers were ~ oh well! I'll try to move it this fall :)

Just wanted to drop in & say "HI!". Today was the first day of summer vacation for my son ~ we spent most of the day just bein lazy but we did manage to have a squirt gun fight (which I must say I lost!) ! lol Tomorrow is supposed to be nice & hot again (whoo hoo!) We'll see what all we can get into tomorrow but for now all I have are a few flower pics to share with you guys.

My new fence decoration (4got to show this the other day) ~ got it at a yard sale for $1 this weekend ~ the handle was duct taped but I'm not sure why because it wasn't broke

Just a quickie!!

Good morning! I thought I'd drop in for a quick little post this morning. Yesterday wasn't my most productive day ever ~ most of the day I spent lazin around bein hormonal & tired! BLAH was how I was feeling! :(  One of the few things that amused me yesterday though was that when I checked the mail, my new stencil that I had won from http://folkartfromtheharbor.blogspot.com/ had arrived!! Whoo hoo! This baby is NICE! It's the biggest stencil I've ever seen! I can't wait to use it ~ I'm going to dig thru my wood pile & find me the perfect piece to use it on today. Thanks again to Becca & if you haven't checked out their blog -you should! I know I'll be ordering me some just as soon as I can!


I also wanted to share with you my new piece of garden "junk" I picked up after I dropped the kid off at school yesterday. My poor hubby just shakes his head ... lol ... he just doesn't understand! But I can't wait to make me a birdhouse to put on it :) I think it's really a cool color! It's more of an aqua blue in person ~ it's very cute in my flower bed!

Other than that, like I said I was pretty darn lazy yesterday! I'm going to try to finish working on a few things today ~ I've got to decide what I'm giving away for the "surprise" part of my giveaway since you guys helped me blow right past 100 followers! :D The sun was actually out this morning when we got up but the clouds have already came back. It's supposed to be nicer this weekend & I can't wait!! I hope everyone has a great Thursday ~ only 1 more day till the weekend! Whoo hoo!

It's was a BEAUTIFUL day in the neighborhood....

Hello! Just as the title said -It was a beautiful day today in my neighborhood! It was in the high 70s and absolutely gorgeous!! That is until about 15 minutes ago when a big ol' storm came passing thru! But that's ok, our new vegetable garden and all my flowers sure needed a good drink! Hope everyone is enjoying their week....here's a few pics from around the yard ....

Happy Thursday!! This week has gone by pretty fast ... I haven't accomplished nearly as much as I wanted to but today I got a few things done in the yard. I've had so many ideas floating around in my head, some days it's hard to sleep at night! Here's a few pics of my front yard...it needs mowed (hubby says he'll do it 2morrow!) and I still need mulch and to hang up my window boxes, but so far all my "junk" I've been finding is looking pretty good in my flower beds I think.

After I took these pics I consulted my mother -via email- & she suggested I switch the birdhouse to the other side so I'm going to try that & see how it looks. The little green door I got out of the trash and the crusty chair and birdhouse were my grandmothers. I don't know if you can see it or not but there is a post with a watering can in the corner by the chair. I got the post for $1 (gasp I know!!) @ a yard sale and the watering can was another trash find. I'm hoping the hubby will get me some mulch for mothers day & it will all come together.....
