Doesn't take much to amuse me!! :O)

Boy I feel like a kid again! We bought the kiddo a pool this weekend ~ just a little 10' x 30" pool ~ you know the easy-up kind everyone seems to have these days?!? Well we put it up on Sunday so when he got home from his dad's house he would be all surprised & boy he was!! He just kept saying "NO WAY! NO WAY!" over & over again! It was great! It was too cold for me to get into till this morning but boy once I did I was hooked!!It was terrible! I'm WAY too big for it but it was so much fun just getting in & cooling off & goofin off with Code! I hadn't realized I missed swimming so much ~ it's been 6 or 7 years probably since I've been! Princess even came over for a bit today & checked it out with us! Cody is so in love with it ~ the last thing he told me before he went to bed was that we were getting up at 5 tomorrow so we could get an early start in the pool! It was funny! I don't even have pics to share because I was in it ALL day! lol

Anywho ~

Me & the hubby didn't end up going night fishing which was ok with me. He decided he really wasn't in the mood so we went grocery shopping & got us our pool.  I know it's not much of a hot date but we still have fun just hanging out together & we managed to have some "excitement" in our own garage anyways! :O)  After our trip to the store my hubby was in the garage messing around  & I was out back admiring my Christmas lights I hung up awhile back ~ I just LOVE them!! it's so romantic out there now! hehe!

Well the hubby came out & told me I need to come to the garage, so I followed him in there. He then proceeded to tell me that we needed to make sure the garage window was closed EVERY night because something had gotten in & pooped (sorry) in the corner of the garage. I of course said ok & then went to see if it had been a cat. Nope it wasn't a cat maybe a raccoon I said so then I went to the other side of the garage to check that corner where I found some more "evidence" of our visitor. So I turned around to tell my hubby & I looked down at this box & there was a POSSUM staring up at me!!! I about died!!! The hubby was going to kill it but then we decided that we would just open the garage door & turn off the lights so he could get out.  The poor thing wasn't very big at all! He didn't even hiss at me & he'd been locked in there for 2 days!! Luckily when we left the door open for awhile he got out.  It was crazy!!

I think there must be a possum family/tribe living on my street...my neighbor lady has came over twice for my hubby to kill a possum that has gotten in her house & now we had one in the garage! Crazy!

That's all the excitement that we've had around here.  We are planning a 4th of July get together at my mom's on Monday. Her little town always has fireworks so we go over there to watch them. It'll be lots of fun!! I hope everyone has a great week! It's supposed to be nice & hot here so I'm sure we'll be in our little pool all week! lol

Kung Fu~Flowers~Redos

Hi!! I hope everyone has been enjoying their week ~ mine has been pretty good here. I took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 2 at the little community theatre here in town yesterday (it was only $8 for all 3 of us to get in!! whoo hoo!). It was really cute! If anyone has little ones & you haven't went to see this movie ~ you should! We all really liked it!

Other than that, not a whole lot of anything has been happening around here. Still being lazy & enjoying the summer vacation time with my son.  The hubby is still not smoking! Whoo hoo! It's been a week & he's done really good so far ~ I'm very proud of him! This weekend is our "kid-free" weekend again & he has asked me to go "night" fishing with him! I was shocked! He never asks me so of course I said yes!! I'm sure I'll be bored out of my mind in about an hour or two but at least he wanted me to go! :O) Makes me feel all special!! LOL

I got two redos done this week ~

the pics aren't the greatest ~ but they both are just black. I like them a lot more now ~ I almost left the long candle holder how it was but I have a lot of wood paneling in my house & it was all the SAME shade of it so it got painted

I'm going to try to work on a few more redos this weekend~ still not feeling much like painting anything. Kinda in a funk ~ I feel like a need a "change". Do you ever get like that?!? I seem to get like that at least once every 6 months or so & I don't know why. I think I've got some gypsy blood in me or something! lol Sometimes it's as simple as a new haircut to cure me ~ sometimes it's more than that, so we'll just have to wait & see. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon :O)!

this lil flower is entwined in with my purple cone flowers ~ I wondered where it had gone ~ my mom had given me some in the fall & I never can remember where I plant anything so I must've planted it where my purple cone flowers were ~ oh well! I'll try to move it this fall :)

A little update :O)

Happy Friday!!!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything all week...

I haven't been overly busy to be honest ~ actually I've been pretty lazy !  I haven't been babysitting this week except for the Princess here & there, so it's just been me & Code hanging out & relaxin! :O) We've had some pretty nice weather ~ much cooler than last week but Mr.Weatherman is saying next week is going to be a HOT one! We'll have to wait & see though ~ you know how often they are wrong! lol

Me & the hubby had a great "date night" last weekend.  I talked him into taking me thrift store shopping ~ there's a VOA thrift store in Mansfield that is AWESOME! I found all my goodies plus a stencil I forgot to put in my pics for less than $10!! I've started to redo a few things but haven't really felt like painting much so I don't have any after pics for you but here's the pics of what I got:

this little memo/chalkboard has a little bell on it ~ I think the kiddos will be amused with it! I may regret it later but I think it'll be cute when I get it painted

After the thrift store we hit Dick's sporting goods where the hubby got him a new fishin pole (his one he bought a few weeks ago broke already!) & a new fishin hat! :O) I found a pole I wanted that lights up when you reel your line in. Hehehe! It was sooo cute! I didn't get it but I told him I want it BAD! lol After our sporting goods stop we hit a lil greek restaurant that was so yummy! We both got gyros & they were AWESOME & they were only $4.50 a piece!! We will definitely be going back there soon!

We've been going on nightly walks with Cody. We've been walking like 2 1/2 miles!!  I know that might not sound like much to alot of people but we are WAY out of shape! The first night about killed us all!! Luckily it's gotten easier & I think we all are enjoying them now.  My hubby quit smoking today (again) ~ he's tried so many times but hopefully he can kick the habit this time. I've never been a smoker ~ well an occasional one here or there when we are out or when I was really stressed but I've never been addicted & I'm very thankful for that. I feel so bad for him! Hopefully this time will be the last time he has to do this!

I hope everyone enjoys their Father's Day weekend! I'm not sure what we are doing with all our dads yet. Me & Cody are making presents & cards tomorrow for the dads & grandpas, which should be fun.

The End of a LONG week!!

Hi all! I am enjoying some quiet time right now & boy is it NICE! The lil man is at his dad's for the weekend & the hubby went to go cat fishing with his buddies so I am home alone & not complaining a bit!! It has been a crazy busy week ~ I am POOPED!! I am so far behind on my blog reading & posting not to mention I haven't gotten anything made @ all this week ~ I am very happy that it is the weekend! The hubby informed me before he left to go fishing that tomorrow we are going to actually go do "something"! Who knows what ~ but we haven't done much of anything lately so it'll just be nice to get out together & do something fun!

The kiddos all made masks today ~ it amused them for about an hour or so :O) Here's pics of everyone but Cody & Kaylee (I forgot to take their pics cause we had "drama" by the time they were done ~ I'm a terrible mommy/aunt! lol)

I thought they all did a good job & they used up most of our leftover Valentine's day stickers! Whoo hoo!

Since I haven't made anything this week, I thought I'd share a pic of the sign I made LAST week with my awesome stencil I won from Folk Art from the Harbor giveaway. I LOVE my stencil & can't wait to get some extra cash to buy some more. I made this sign for my aunt ~ I had made a blue one & taken it for the yard sale we had & my mom claimed it when she saw it & my aunt wanted one too so I went ahead & made one up for her. Now I've got to make myself one! lol

Oh a little quick update on our new kitty ~ when we got up this morning he wasn't here anymore & we haven't seen him @ all today! I'm not sure if he got out of the fence somehow or if something "got" him. I'm very sad & feel bad that I hadn't brought him in the house. Cody handled it pretty good ~ I told him his mommy must've missed him & came & got him. :( He was awfully sweet but I guess it wasn't meant to be!

Well while I have a quiet house I'm going to try to catch up on every one's blogs ~ clean my crafty room & catch up on some tv! :O)

Happy Tuesday!! I hope no one has "melted" in this scorching heat that we are having in Ohio! Lol I'm not complaining though ... but boy I sure wish I had a swimming pool in my yard! :O) 

I can't believe it's been almost a week since I've done a post ~ things have been crazy busy around here! Summer vacation is in full swing! Last week I was busy babysitting, trying to get ready to have a yard sale, then actually having a yard sale Friday & Saturday, graduation party, more babysitting, etc etc!! This week is busy again ~ I'm watching my friend's 5 kids most of the week plus Princess a few days too so we've got a house/yard full!  Our yard sale was a huge success! I managed to only bring back 1 laundry basket with like 8 or 9 things in it that didn't sell ~ I took ALOT more than that with me, so I was amused!

Today I got a "surprise" package from Linda over @ http://parkersparadise.blogspot.com/. She is such a sweetie! I had mentioned I really liked some bowls she had redone a lil while back & she sent me some along with lots of other goodies! She included a wonderful lil ditty bag (my first!), some battery operated tea lights, a mustard colored candle box, a pocket Kleenex cover w/tissues, some great dish towels, the lil bowls I loved, & a bigger bowl that is awesome too! She outdid herself!! Thank you so much Linda!

I L-O-V-E it all!! 

The package arrived about lunch time & my son hollered in that the mail lady had a box for us ( I didn't really believe him ~lol) & all the kids were sooo excited to see what was in the box! It was fun!

Now I started this post earlier but got sidetracked (shocker!lol) & had to go outside to see what the kid was all excited about.... guess what was under the hubby's car?!?!

The cutest little kitten ever! He's hurt his paw somehow but he seems to be getting along ok with it. We started to leave for a walk not too long after he came out from under the car to see us & the poor thing started running/limping down the road after us! So needless to say, we turned back & snuggled the new kitty instead. We tried to bring him in the house but our cat Sammy was not amused at all!!! So for tonight we have him locked up in the backyard till we decide if we should try to keep him or not. Cody is already very attached to him ~ he's very worried about him being outside since he's hurt. I tried to reassure him but you know how that goes! Poor lil man! We REALLY don't need/want another cat ~ my mom has been trying to give us one for weeks now but I don't know if I can say no to Cody or this sweet little fur ball! Guess we'll have to wait & see.

Well I'm off to get ready for bed ~ gotta get up at 6am again tomorrow ~ Boy that was hard to do this morning!! lol I'm spoiled ~ I'm used to sleeping till at least 7:45(school days)  ~10ish (non school days). I hope everyone enjoys their day!!

Just wanted to drop in & say "HI!". Today was the first day of summer vacation for my son ~ we spent most of the day just bein lazy but we did manage to have a squirt gun fight (which I must say I lost!) ! lol Tomorrow is supposed to be nice & hot again (whoo hoo!) We'll see what all we can get into tomorrow but for now all I have are a few flower pics to share with you guys.

My new fence decoration (4got to show this the other day) ~ got it at a yard sale for $1 this weekend ~ the handle was duct taped but I'm not sure why because it wasn't broke
